- Brian Greco, Joy Mench and Jennifer Heinsius (Animal Science undergrad) co-author: “Why pace? The influence of social, housing, management, life history, and demographic characteristics on locomotor stereotypy in zoo elephants” in Applied Animal Behavior Science.
OUTREACH & TRAVEL
- Kathryn Jackson travelled to Sydney Australia August 14-18, visiting University of Sydney Global Motility and Faculty of Science to generate interest for their students in studying animal science at UC Davis.
- Amy McLean attended the 1st International Symposium on Donkey Science in Donge County, China as an invited speaker.
- Sheep Barn student assistants attended the California Wool Growers Association Conference in Cambria.
- Dan Sehnert attended the American Association of Meat Processors Annual Convention held in Lexington, KY and served as judge at the North American Cured Meat Championship.
- Don Harper, Caleb Sehnert, Bob Sainz, Jim Oltjen, Sara Klopatek and Dan Sehnert attended the Annual Yolo County Cattlemen and Wool Growers Fall Speaker Program and Dinner.
